MEET YOUR CENTRAL B.C. COORDINATOR: Robin Hunt is a market gardener from the Cariboo Region of B.C. She is excited to join the Young Agrarians team and work with farmers around the region. She currently farms with her husband Johan Bos at Big Rock Ranch in Buffalo Creek, B.C. Here they raise free range heritage chickens rotationally on pasture, run a mixed fruit/vegetable market garden and tiny home B&B, with a large focus on animal welfare and soil health. They feel strongly about building community, their local economy and supporting it by investing locally. Our hearts were filled and our minds inspired after the first 2-day Young Agrarians Alberta Winter Mixer! Thanks to everyone who came, to our speakers and to our sponsors. We’re growing the next generation of ecological farmers in Alberta! Join us February 25th in Olds, AB at 7pm at the Land and Science Building at Olds College. There will be a little networking, a little learning, a little sharing, a little food, a little enjoyment of libations and A LOT of fun!
