APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM – The Alberta Apprenticeship Program, created in partnership with Organic Alberta, is an annual immersion training program in regenerative agriculture. Annual application intake is February each year.
BUSINESS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM & RESOURCES – We offer a B.C. Annual application intake is October each year. Check our our Business page and blog to find resources and tools for your farm business.
EVENTS – Year round YA coordinates on-farm and off-farm educational events to network, build community, and learn together.
FARM CLUBS – Check out this great guide created by YA Alberta for creating meet-up spaces in your area to share knowledge and jam with other farmers.
LAND ACCESS – YA is piloting a three-year B.C. Land Matching Program, that offers hands-on, land matching and technical assistance support to pair up farmers ready to start businesses with landowners. Annual intake is year round. We have developed a B.C. and Ontario Land Access Guide as a start-up primer for new farmers wanting to get onto land. We also offer Lease and License templates to help land owners and farmers negotiate agreements. We host Land Linking workshops in the fall and winter months to bring together land owners and land seekers.
U-MAP – A national interactive Resource Map focused on centralizing information from farms, to land, suppliers and more- for new and existing farmers in the ecological and certified organic sector. Add your resource to the map or find a resource. If you are mapping resources in your area, please get in touch!
