This workshop for food producers will include a morning classroom component, and an afternoon field walk. Students will learn to use the basic tools for monitoring soil and crop conditions, and how to analyze the results to gradually improve the growing environment, maximize plant quality and soil health regardless of changing weather conditions. In addition to improved crop quality and yield, producers applying the scientific principles to produce nutrient dense plants also report significant reductions in disease, insect, and weed pressures.
