Make sure to read the eligibility requirements carefully, as some subsidies are not allowed to be combined with others. Youth Employment and Skills Program for Agriculture The Youth Employment and Skills Program provides a wage subsidy to employers who hire youth (age 15-30 inclusive when the internship started) for agricultural jobs. Alberta Small and Medium Sized Business Relaunch Grant

  The Small and Medium Enterprise Relaunch Grant offers financial assistance to Alberta businesses, cooperatives, and non-profit organizations that were ordered to close or curtail operations, and that experienced a revenue reduction of at least 40%, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible organizations can apply for 15% of their pre-COVID-19 monthly revenue, up to a maximum of $5,000 in funding. Small and medium-sized businesses are vital to British Columbia’s economy. The Small and Medium-Sized Business Recovery Grant program provides fully-funded grants to businesses to ensure they have the support they need during and beyond COVID-19. How the program works The Small and Medium-Sized Business Recovery Grant program will invest up to $300 million in targeted financial support for some of the hardest hit businesses in B.C. that employ between two and 149 B.C. residents and have experienced declines in revenue since March 10, 2020. The Investment Agriculture Foundation is accepting applications for the Emergency On-Farm Support Fund. The program assists agricultural producers with some of the incremental costs for improving the health and safety of farm workers and limiting the spread of COVID-19 in agricultural operations. The program will provide up to $100,000 per recipient in non-repayable, cost-shared funding. Applications must include at least $5,000 in total eligible costs to be considered for the program. Small Farm Business Acceleration Program

The Small Farm Business Acceleration Pilot Program can support the growth of small and/or new farms and the implementation of farm business plans and growth strategies. The program will support cost-shared purchasing of commercial farm infrastructure and equipment needed to accelerate the revenue growth of farm businesses. Program Objective Through the Small Farm Business Acceleration Pilot Program, small and new farm businesses can make investments necessary to achieve farm income growth goals, ensure commercial viability and strengthen financial sustainability.
