ABOUT RURAL ROUTES TO CLIMATE SOLUTIONS Established in 2017, Rural Routes to Climate Solutions (a Stettler Learning Centre initiative) provides opportunities for rural Albertans to learn more about and reap the benefits of climate solutions. By doing so, they are empowering rural Albertans to make informed decisions on how best to modify their farming, ranching, and daily living practices to mitigate and adapt to our changing climactic landscape. Currently, there are 271,935 farmers in Canada managing approximately 153 million acres of farm and ranch lands. ABOUT THE LAND AND FOOD JUSTICE FUND The Food and Land Justice Fund was created to support over 40 organizations doing work to increase food security, fight for food justice, and create equitable food systems across Canada. It can be found on the Unite for Change platform – which launched in 2021 to fundraise for some of the most pressing issues of our time, from climate change to social justice causes. ABOUT KINSHIFT kinSHIFT is an Indigenous-led initiative supporting settlers who are committed to building respectful relationships with Indigenous peoples and places. Based in Syilx-Okanagan territory, they have been delivering impactful programs since 2013, touching the lives of more than 9,000 people through 200+ workshops and 30+ camps.
