You’re invited to a Farm Tour & Potluck at A Rocha Farm in Surrey, BC!
A Rocha is a christian non-profit focused on caring for the environment through education, conservation science and sustainable agriculture. Their farm is about 2.5 acres with about half of their production in a no-till system (they just switched over this year!). Their primary focus is their CSA with 170 shares, but they also sell at their farm market on site, do a bit of wholesale and restaurant sales, and donate shares/produce to partner agencies through grants and donations. Their team varies quite a bit through the season as they have a core staff, and then welcome short term workers, volunteers and host interns every spring, summer, and fall who join them to work on the farm and live in the community.
We’ll tour the farm, network, and enjoy a potluck meal together afterwards. The event is free and open to everyone. Children are welcome but please leave furry friends at home.
