A Rocha is a christian non-profit focused on caring for the environment through education, conservation science and sustainable agriculture. Their farm is about 2.5 acres with about half of their production in a no-till system (they just switched over this year!). EVENT RECAP: Land Social at Jewel Creek Farm

On September 11, 2021, we gathered with more than 30 people for a socially-distanced outdoor Land Social at Jewel Creek Farm just outside of Greenwood, B.C., unceded and traditional territory of the Syilx Nation. Land Socials connect farmers and farmland holders, and set them up to receive ongoing support through the program, as well as anyone who loves food, farming, and getting out onto the land. On September 27, 2021, Young Agrarians, Kootenay & Boundary Farm Advisors and Bent Plow Farm presented the fifth event of the Young Agrarians 2021 Farm Club event series, an evening farm tour and discussion at Bent Plow Farm in Blewett, BC, 10 minutes from Nelson.
