ABOUT THE LAND
This 7 acre property is mostly forested with about 2 acres of land that has been clear in the past and used for hobby farming, but has been left fallow in recent years. The 2 acre field was cultivated in spring 2021 and is now overgrown with blackberries. There is a 8 gpm well on the property that would be available for agricultural use and there is potential for a second well to be dug if needed. The land slopes down from the road on the west side of the property to the east. The cleared two acres are at a lower elevation than the house and road and are surrounded by forest on three sides. More of the forested land could be cleared for farm use if needed for a leasing farming operation – to be discussed dependant on the farm business needs.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This opportunity needs significant work to bring it into high productivity, but the landowner will clear the blackberries and possibly some of the forest for a serious farming commitment. Goats or pigs could also be an option here. A separate driveway will be brought into the leased area for the farmer’s access, and the farmer could bring a non-permanent accommodation such as a tiny home, trailer, RV or modular home to the land to live on site. All hook-ups can be made available. The landowners live on site and are looking to lease to someone who will maintain the leased area and be a community minded member of the neighbourhood.

Hi,
We live in Saanichton next to the Fairgrounds. We are looking to set up greenhouses for a non-cannabis farming project. Would this opportunity still be available?
Thank you in advance!
Hi Veronica,
Thanks for your comment. I’ll forward it to Azja, the land matcher for this opportunity. She will get back to you via email soon.
Cheers,
Michalina
