Join us to hear stories from farmers in the process of farm transition!
With many farmers retiring from farming, transition agreements (where one farmer is looking to pass on the management of their land and farm to a new generation) are becoming more and more common. Farm transitions can be a great solution for both generations: the retiring farmer gets to pass on their legacy, and the incoming farmer can take over an established farm, meaning lower start-up costs.
So, what does a farm transition actually look like? In this webinar, you’ll hear stories from three farmers involved in their own transition agreements: Tristan Banwell (Spray Creek Ranch, Lillooet, BC), Robin Tunnicliffe (Sea Bluff Farm, Vancouver Island, BC) and Yann Assemat (Roots ‘n Thyme, Robson Valley, BC). Central-North Land Matcher Andrew Adams will also be there to share the key steps for farm transition and discuss how the B.C. Land Matching Program can support transition agreements. There will be time for Q&A, so bring your questions!
You will leave this webinar with a better understanding of farm transition, and perhaps some new insights for your own transition agreement!
