Tea Creek Training and the Indigenous Food Sovereignty Association are seeking a Fundraiser!
The Job: Work as a primary fundraiser for our two Indigenous led organizations, Tea Creek
Training and the Indigenous Food Sovereignty Association
Hours: Part-time- approximately 20 hours/week, year round
Wage: We value program development and fundraising. There are two options,
1) on our payroll on our pay grid ($35+/hr), plus performance bonuses. Or,
2) negotiated contract rates.
Expected compensation $35,000 – $57,000
Location: Remotely with site visits to Kitwanga, BC 2-4 times/year (work travel is covered)
Start Date: ASAP
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Managing funder relationships, agreements, and contracts
- Developing new funding relationships and opportunities
- Researching and developing grant applications
- Developing content for fundraising campaigns and outreach
- Relaying communications and deliverables deadlines to relevant staff and management
- Fulfilling reporting and communications requirements to funders
- Tracking funding wins/losses, relationships, and communications in CRM and other
management software - Consolidating fundraising updates and data into spreadsheets or other databases for
staff and management
Qualifications & Job requirements
- Experience in fundraising activities, campaigns, and application development
- Excellent digital skills – high typing ability and proficient using web applications (ie:
Google platforms, CRM software, Basecamp or other project management/teams based software, Excel, Adobe) - Project management and budgeting skills are an asset
- High literacy, people, and communication skills – ability to write professional
correspondence, attend online and in person meetings with confidence - Strong narrative skills for grant writing and reporting
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Media development skills
- Strong integrity to carry out work independently while aligning yourself to the
organizations vision and mission - Good understanding of the impacts of colonization on Indigenous peoples and
communities, and an understanding of reconciliation frameworks
