Zinn Farms in Springstein, Manitoba is seeking a Farmer’s Market Sales and Inventory Manager!
ABOUT Zinn Farms
Zinn Farms is a pasture based farm raising Heritage pork, chicken, and eggs. We raise our pigs farrow to finish and are shipping pigs all year around. During the summer our pigs and chickens are running on pasture, while in the winter the pigs are kept in the barn (breeding stock) and in canvas covered hoop shelters with deep bedding. The layer chickens are also in the barn during the winter. We use a small 23 hp tractor, a large 165 hp tractor, and a skid steer mostly for machinery. We direct market all our own products and provide weekly delivery into Winnipeg (year around) on top of the 4 farmer’s markets per week during the summer. All our animals are processed in provincially inspection abattoirs and we receive the frozen meat back.
We raise our animals on pasture in the summer and use high intensity regenerative grazing practices. We provide a low stress lifestyle for our animals. We mill all our own feed ensuring our feeds are free from GMOs, hormones and antibiotics. All animals are raised on straw (while indoors) which helps with stress reduction.
