Soil Quality, Farmer Health, and Product Quality

You are invited to participate in a study to understand how capturing soil carbon through agricultural management practices impacts farmer health and food quality.  As a farmer in BC, we thought you might be interested in supporting efforts to shift the current policy paradigm to one that recognizes the multidisciplinary aspects of your job. SURVEY: UBC Farm Management Survey

BC vegetable farmers are wanted to respond to a survey about their farm management! The survey will include questions about field management practices, seed practices, technology use, and employment. The study is being conducted by Dr. Hannah Wittman (Principal Investigator), Susanna Klassen (Doctoral Candidate), and Chris Thoreau (Masters Student), from the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems at the University of British Columbia.   Your responses will help us to better understand your experiences and the sustainability challenges facing vegetable farmers like you, and contribute to ongoing research out of the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems at UBC Farm.
