Helen’s Acres in Kelowna, BC, is seeking a Farmhand!
We are a 24 acre nonprofit farm that grows all of our food to be donated to local food bank agencies from West Kelowna, Kelowna and Lake country.
We believe that fresh food should be a right and not a privilege and so that is why for the past 10 years, we have been growing thousands upon thousands of food to be given away to people in our community through our partner agencies.
Last year we distributed 189,000 pounds worth of food, 96,000 pounds a year before and 76,000 pounds the year before that. The need for fresh food is growing at an alarming rate and so we do our best to fulfill those needs within the short season that we have.

Seeding, transplanting, harvesting, irrigation, being trained to use a tractor, working with and leading volunteer groups, impeccable bedside manner.
Term: May 1st to October 1st.
Hours per week: 37.5
Wage: $19-22 per hour.
Please send résumé and cover letter to dan@helensacres.com
