ABOUT THE LAND

Located just off of Highway 7 in Pitt Meadows, this opportunity offers two plots totaling 3 acres of cleared land, ready for a new project!

The plots are situated on a 100-acre blueberry farm that has been in operation for 40 years, and they will benefit from proximity to the established blueberry operation. This land opportunity comes with access to water, electricity, tools, machinery and a barn. 

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The plots are suitable for a variety of production types, but would be ideal for mixed vegetable production. The landholders are open to poultry, but the incoming farmer would have to establish their own structures. This opportunity is extremely well-suited for an experienced farmer looking to set up a new enterprise.

The landholders would love to expand the offerings at their thriving farm gate, and are willing to share sales channels with the farmer and/or buy from them directly at fair market wholesale pricing. There is also a possibility of discussing shared farm labour. The landholders are motivated by a desire to increase access to healthy and affordable foods in their community, and would like to see more and more diversified production on their own farm.

In addition to putting the available plots to use, the landholders would love to invite a beekeeper (with up to 400 hives) onto the property, for their 100 acres of blueberries.

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The landholders are ideally looking for a farmer who uses regenerative farming methods. A collaborative sensibility, good communication skills, and strong business planning are all desirable qualities.
