Overview

Are you interested in alternative ways of raising capital? This panel session will showcase farmers who have grown their businesses or accessed land with the support of community investment. Get insight into what makes community financing work!

In this 60-minute session, you will learn about accessing loans through community financing, maintaining relationships with investors, and understanding loan terms. The panelists will also share lessons learned and offer advice for those interested in pursuing loans through community financing.

The panel discussion features Graham Bradley of Good Earth Farm, Hannah Lewis of Grounded Acres Organic Farm, and Elana Evans of City Beet Farm.

Who is this information for? 

This information is applicable to current and aspiring farmers seeking land, as well as anyone interested in learning about community financing. While this content was developed through the B.C. Land Matching Program (BCLMP) and focuses on B.C.-based regulations and case stories, the topics covered are relevant to anyone considering land sharing and community financing.
