Overview

Got Land? Want Land? The B.C. Land Matching Program delivered by Young Agrarians provides no-cost personalized land matching and business support services to farmers looking for land to start or expand their farm, and landholders interested in finding someone to farm their land. As of summer 2024, we’ve made more than 330 matches on over 12,200 acres, and we’re helping farmers and landholders finalize new matches every day!

This 80-minute webinar serves as an introduction to the A to Z of finding land or a farmer and developing a land sharing relationship. You will learn about leasing land in B.C., legal considerations, and how to build and maintain mutually beneficial land agreements. Each step of the way, you will get a taste of the services available to farmers and farmland holders through the B.C. Land Matching Program (BCLMP).

We focus on what it takes to build land sharing relationships with trust, clarity and confidence, and support you to learn what questions to ask of yourselves and each other. We also explore stories of alternative land transitions that we hope will inspire farmers and landholders alike to envision what is possible!
