The truth of the matter is – it has been too long. The farmers of the Peace Country want to get together, eat some good food, catch up on who’s doing what on which farm, and indulge in our favourite things – eating and talking farmin’. Of course, the pub will be open.

This will be an informal gathering, with little structure other than sharing some farmer slideshows over a good meal, leaving ample time for hey-how-are-ya. The goal? Catching up. The reason? We miss you.

What is a Farmer Slideshow? Simply, this provides farmers an opportunity to show off their favourite pics from the last couple farming seasons, share some memorable stories, and hear from others about their experiences.

Each pre-registered farmer who indicates they want to sign up for a slideshow will be given 10 minutes and 10 slides to present anything they want to regarding their farm. You can talk about successes and challenges, farm hacks, and farm fails – any theme you choose.

A little out of the ordinary – but we’re inviting you to join in some pre-social socializing at Fatboys Bowling in Hythe, AB! Let’s see those super-coveted farmer bowling moves!! The winner gets bragging rights and glory.

4:30 -5:30 pm: Demmitt Hall – Introduction Circle

6:00-8:00 pm: Dinner + Farmer Slideshows

8:00 pm onwards: Shootin’ the breeze
