This land opportunity is comprised of three parcels and spans two neighbouring properties, both of which are served by wells. The farm and packing area are accessed via a paved road and there is potential to expand production to 3 acres in the future.
The outgoing farmers prioritized ecology and soil health and have put in a lot of work to increase the fertility of the land through careful management. The soil has been regularly and responsibly amended over the years. Beds are pre-built with drip and overhead irrigation already installed. There are also strawberries and garlic already planted.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The outgoing farmers are open to selling these farm assets as well as other business assets of their high-intensity cropping system, such as crop plan records, rotation records, sanitation protocol and fertility protocol. They may also be available to provide some limited mentoring, schedule-permitting.
The landholders are very supportive of having farming activities on their properties, and are open to low-cost arrangements for farmers to access the land. The outgoing farmers are working closely with the landholders to assess candidates for this opportunity.
ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
This opportunity is best suited to farmers who already have experience working on or running a small-scale market garden, and can make the most of the existing systems.
The ideal candidate would have the dedication, capacity and commitment necessary to take on both the production and the business of a busy market garden. It would be advisable to have at least one farming partner/staff member for an opportunity of this scale.
