LAND OPPORTUNITY: 10 acres in the Pristine Valley for mixed production – Chase, BC
June 20, 2025
We always have new land opportunities coming into our inventory, some of which aren’t on our blog yet! Get in touch with a Land Matcher at bclmp@youngagrarians.org to learn about the latest opportunities and to access free B.C. Land Matching Program services in your region.
ABOUT THE LAND
Located just outside of the community of Chase, with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains, 10 acres of land are available for a wide variety of production types!
The property totals 80 acres, some of which is in production: there is a haying operation and horses currently on-site. There are pasture spaces available for use, which are currently set up for horses but could be adjusted for other types of livestock. The property is fenced and cross-fenced, and the fencing could be adjusted as needed, to suit the type of livestock that the farmer would like to keep there. Water is accessible across the property for crops and watering livestock.
There is also growing space available that is currently fallow. The fallow space is mostly covered in native grasses, and would not require major clearing to transition into operational growing space. The soil across the entire property is an excellent sandy loam quality with excellent drainage.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This opportunity is open to many production types, including livestock, vegetables, berries, herbs, and flowers. The available pasture spaces would be suitable for grazing sheep, goats, chickens, or cattle.
The landholders are currently haying on a portion on the property, and would be open to a farmer taking over a portion of that operation, or transitioning the space into a different type of crop production. Compost may be available in abundance from the resident horses (which will remain on-site), and the incoming farmer would be welcome to make use of it if available.
Housing is also available on-site, in a mobile home that the landholders are currently upgrading. Upgrades include: new flooring, insulation, a heat pump, a new roof, and a new kitchen. There is also space beside the mobile home for a personal garden. In the meantime, the farmer could place an RV on-site while the upgrades to the mobile home are underway.

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The property is currently being farmed organically, and the landholders would love to find a farmer who would continue farming organically. The ideal candidate would have access to their own tools and equipment, and would have some prior experience managing a farm property.
The landholders would love for a farmer to continue to care for the land as they do now, and they are keen to meet with farmers who are open to a long-term land agreement. If you’re interested in this flexible land opportunity, don’t hesitate to reach out!
