ABOUT Stable Harvest Farm
Since 2020, Stable Harvest Farm—a non-profit organization—has donated over 360,000 lbs of fresh produce to local communities. We have also educated thousands of children, schools, and families through our on-site educational tours, which teach them where their food comes from and why protecting the environment matters. In 2025, we plan to expand our petting zoo. We also follow regenerative organic farming principles to maintain healthy soil and support biodiversity.
We are looking for senior farm crew member to join our team. The ideal candidate has solid experience operating farm equipment (e.g., tractors), is passionate about organic farming, and excels at being neat and organized.
DESIRED QUALITIES
- Physical ability to carry out farm tasks and work in all weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to uphold quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team setting.
- Passion for organic, regenerative farming.
- Must be able to work in Canada.
POSITION TASKS
- Maintain the farm’s high standards of quality and cleanliness.
- Participate in various tasks related to seeding, transplanting, harvesting, weeding, and cultivating.
- Handle post-harvest tasks such as washing, processing, and storage.
- Carry out tractor and machinery work.
- Manage greenhouse production – ex. peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc
- Take advantage of opportunities to apply your skills on our 65-acre educational farm.
POSITION DETAILS
Term: Jobs available from February 15, 2025. (Flexible start)
Hours per week: 40 hours+/- based on seasonal requirements. Part time position is also available.
Wage: Hourly $23.00/ hour, may be adjusted, commensurate with experience.
