FARM JOB: Black Creek, BC – Shorewolf Farm, Farmhand

Shorewolf Farm in Black Creek, BC is seeking a Farmhand!

ABOUT Shorewolf Farm

We are a small vegetable, berry, and hops farm operating on 0.6 acres. Established in 2019, we farm using regenerative and organic practices and do most everything by hand or with a small two-wheel tractor. Our goal is to feed folks within our local community of the Comox Valley. We sell from our farm store, at the Comox Valley Farmers Market, to local restaurants, and through a collaboration with other local farmers. We also support a non-profit, Lush Valley, providing food for subsidized food boxes distributed to the community and groups facing barriers. In the past year, we have also opened a small bakeshop and farm shop, where we use our farmed items in our baking products and sell vegetables from the farm store.

We are not certified organic, but we use organic and regenerative practices to ensure that our land is protected and able to be used to grow food for many more generations. We service the local community by involvement in non-profits and help to ensure more food gets to people in need of good local produce.

We also like to have fun. This is a physical job, so we love listening to music, lunch potlucks, and having dance parties in the fields. We grow a lot of interesting culinary varieties of plants so if you love learning about food and talking about cooking, we do a lot of that!
