Are you a new farmer or taking over as the next generation on your family farm?
Do you love farming but feel overwhelmed managing your farm business?
Join the Business Mentorship Network to be paired with an experienced farmer who can help mentor and support you in your farm business journey.
Applications are open for the 2026 Young Agrarians Business Mentorship Network!
Now in its twelfth year, the Young Agrarians Business Mentorship Network matches new and next-generation farmers 1- 10 years in business with experienced farmers to cultivate the skills for running financially viable and ecologically sustainable farms.
Whether you need business basics or strategic planning for long-term growth, gaining business development skills is one of the biggest challenges facing new farmers. Our aim is to provide new farmers with an opportunity to build their business knowledge and use it to grow their farm operations to achieve long-term viability.
Mentors take a coach approach and are guided by your goals and may help you to evaluate multiple facets of your business: production, operations, marketing, financial and risk management, as well as assist in developing and implementing strategic business goals for the upcoming season and beyond.
Priority will be given (but not limited) to applicants who are new entrants into agriculture aged 18-35, having been in operation for 1-10 years.
For more details and to apply, please visit our Business Mentorship Network Page.
Mentor applications are received year-round. If you are interested in being a Mentor (a paid position), please contact us at the email below for more information. We will also ask you to fill out a Mentor Application.
Please reach out if you have any questions! We greatly appreciate your help in sharing this opportunity with your networks.
