We have more land opportunities than what is listed here! Get in touch with a Land Matcher at land@youngagrarians.org to access our full land inventory and B.C. Land Matching Program support in your region.

ABOUT THE LAND

This established garden has been in production for years, and is now looking for a new grower to take over. Beds are semi-permanent and somewhat raised and have been amended with organic inputs. An irrigation system is in place.

Two cold frame greenhouses are set up, one with benches for growing in trays or pots, the other in the garden with a great trellising system (ideal for tomatoes!) and needs poly to complete it.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The landowner raises dairy goats and cows and would appreciate some amount of support in care for the animals, how much and what that will look like is to be discussed.

There is a health inspected commercial kitchen with dehydrator, propane stove, fridges and freezers, etc. The leasing farmer would be welcome to use the space for processing of food products, as long as they have foodsafe. The landowner makes value added food products herself in the space, and would be interested in buying produce from the farmer if they would like to supply her.

There is a popular market stand on site, which the farmer would be able to sell their farm product at, with a 10% commission to the landowner for use of the space.

A suite in the house may be available for rent in the future, but not at this time.
