LAND OPPORTUNITY: CERTIFIED ORGANIC BLUEBERRY FARM AND ACREAGE -ABBOTSFORD, BC

We have more land opportunities than what is listed here! Get in touch with a Land Matcher at land@youngagrarians.org to access our full land inventory and B.C. Land Matching Program support in your region.

ABOUT THE LAND

This is BC’s first certified organic blueberry farm. There are 7.5 acres planted with 19 varieties of productive heritage blueberry. There is 10 acres of previously hayed field that can be used for growing organic vegetables in the back. Municipal water, electricity and equipment are available. This family farm, established in 1948, is to this day a thriving business.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you ready to take on the challenge of managing the operations of a blueberry farm? The landholders will provide plenty of mentoring, training and guidance on all aspects of organic blueberry production from pruning, fertilising, harvesting, to processing and sales. There is a thriving U-Pick, as well as a fresh and frozen berry production operation. Tiny home housing and profit share will be available. You are an eager learner and hard working. You will have the opportunity to learn from highly experienced growers and transition to taking on the management of the farm. There is plenty of opportunity to modernise operations to increase income.

There are also two other opportunities on this farm for (1) seasonal work picking for cash in the coming month (August 2022) or (2) leasing acreage to grow organic produce.
