We have more land opportunities than what is listed here! Get in touch with a Land Matcher at land@youngagrarians.org to access our full land inventory and B.C. Land Matching Program support in your region.
ABOUT THE LAND
Located roughly 45 minutes outside the town of Quesnel is a 5 acre farm with housing, established garden space and greenhouse, as well as set up for small scale livestock production. The landowner has grown food for personal consumption and raised sheep, hogs and poultry on the property.
Some fencing requires repair/new wire strung but the posts are in place. The home available on the property requires some TLC as it is an older 2 bedroom modular. A small barn, chicken coop, shelters and paddocks are all available for your livestock rearing needs.
The land is rocky but soil was brought in to build up the garden area. An abundance of food is grown in the garden and greenhouse!
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Any farm plans suitable to a 5 acre farm are welcome! The ideal candidate would be an individual, couple or a small family that can perform basic home care and maintenance skills. A long term lease is preferred and the landowner is open to discussing the future opportunity of work trade arrangements.
The garden, greenhouse and pastures are all to be incorporated in your farm plans when inquiring in the land opportunity.
