This 40 acre mostly forested property is home to a 2400 square foot (30 x 84 ft) commercial closed unit greenhouse, made by BW Greenhouse. The concrete floor has propane powered radiant heat, and the building has a water catchment system from rain gutters running the length of the greenhouse that fill four 10,000 water cisterns. The previous grower did not need additional water to this supply, but if needed, water can be pumped from the on-site pond to fill the cisterns. Insulated doors keep the building warm in the colder months. The greenhouse is not equipped inside so the renter has full option to organically grow what and how they want. Grow bags/beds and medium needs to be brought in by the grower, and grow lights can be installed if desired as well. BC Hydro is currently being installed.

In addition to the greenhouse, one of the approximately 5 x 80 ft outdoor raised beds can be available for the leasing farmer’s use, and if the farmer’s production plan requires, additional spaces on the property can be used as well. As the majority of the land is brush/forest, goats could be a great fit!


The greenhouse will be ready to rent immediately, month-to-month or long term to a like minded, organic grower. One of the landholders is a Chinese herbalist, and both are permaculture enthusiasts – planning to plant a food forest and eventually build a home on the land in the coming years.

The previous grower produced mixed vegetables out of the greenhouse from February-November annually, without the use of grow lights and using coco-coir as the growing medium in a closed system. The previous grower is offering 40 hours of free consultation/mentorship for the incoming farmer to learn the greenhouse set-up and systems. It would be a bonus for the farmer to be familiar with hydro-static systems.

If desired, the leasing farmer would be welcome to bring their own accommodation to the land (trailer, tiny home, etc). Power and water can be hooked into, but a composting toilet would need to be constructed as no septic system is in place.

The landholders have a rescue dog that does not get along well with other dogs, so unfortunately no other dogs can be on the property. Other animals are okay! This is also to remain a cannabis-free zone.

  1. Hello could i have more info on length of lease. Amount per month. Cost for meter hook up , Water, costs besides covering. Can some rent one green house.
