We always have new land opportunities coming into our inventory, some of which aren’t on our blog yet! Get in touch with a Land Matcher at to learn about the latest opportunities and to access free B.C. Land Matching Program services in your region.

Are you an experienced, hardworking farmer who would relish the opportunity to graze your livestock in a forest or utilize forested land for your farm business?

Up to 18 acres of raw forest is available in a picturesque setting minutes from the Coquihalla Canyon and Othello Tunnels. The property is divided into two parcels by Othello Road. A small creek runs through the upper parcel and the lower parcel is situated right on the beautiful riverfront. The property is not fenced, but there is a gate onto the property. Two small 10x10ft cabins on the land could be used for storage, and electricity can also be made available.

Forest grazing/silvopasture, ornamentals, medicinal herbs, mushrooms, bees and/or an agri-tourism business could all be a great fit for this opportunity.

Incorporating a water catchment system to take advantage of the natural resources would be advisable. For more water intensive uses, a pump would need to be installed to make use of the water course on the property. Dry farming techniques could also be employed.

With some planning, living on the land is a possibility on the upper parcel. Tiny homes or trailers could work and there is a 5th Wheel trailer on the property that may also be available for use.

The landholder is seeking assistance to achieve farm status in addition to rent at market lease rates.

The opportunity would be suitable for a farmer who has experience cultivating crops or raising/grazing animals in a forest setting as the landholder would prefer to preserve the mature trees in the forest.

The ideal candidate will be business-minded with ambitious but solid plans and financial projections ready to share. An incoming farmer would need to have the time, expertise and finances to invest in setting up a new operation on raw land.
