ABOUT THE LAND
1+ acre of this 100+ acre heritage farm in Pitt Meadows is available for farming. There are 3 plots situated next to a bustling farm store with a butcher, grocer, bistro and outdoor dining area. Most of the remaining acreage is planted with cranberry and used to raise cattle. There is access to (drip) irrigation, electricity, equipment, and storage. There are 2 hoop frames available for poly-tunnels. The soil is rich silty loam.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The landholders would like to make the land available to an enterprising local grower, that can maintain a safe, well-managed, and presentable farm. They are open to flower, vegetable, herb, berry production or bee keeping. Situated next to the farm store with lots of customer traffic, there are numerous revenue opportunities. Produce can be sold via a farm stand, CSA, u-pick, through the onsite grocer and educational or public tours may be conducted. A skilled grower (market garden vegetables, flowers, etc), that can operate quite independently would be ideal. A community-focused enterprise (open to the public), with opportunities for education, farm tours, or u-pick would be welcome. The landholders are open to different business models, and arrangements.
If you’re interested, please email Fai a very simple intro (with your farming photos) that includes 4 short paragraphs on the following topics:

- Business – how I plan to generate income
