We have more land opportunities than what is listed here! Get in touch with a Land Matcher at land@youngagrarians.org to access our full land inventory and B.C. Land Matching Program support in your region.
ABOUT THE LAND
This farm-within-a-farm is 0.25 acres of market garden space tucked away on a successful pastured poultry farm. There are established beds that have been cultivated with mixed vegetable crops in previous years, as well as a 20×20 greenhouse for planting and storage. The area is set up with an irrigation system, and the soil is healthy and nutrient-rich. There is a shared cold storage space that would be made available to the market gardener during the on-farm market days.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The farmers running the pastured poultry operation are keen to have a market gardener on the land either for short- or long-term opportunities. The market gardener would participate in weekend market days on the farm in the summer season to complement the current farmer’s pastured poultry products.
Because the space is already set up with beds and irrigation, this opportunity may suit someone newer to farming who is looking to learn and grow, while contributing product to the on-site weekly markets while developing their business. The current farmers are seeking farmers who are great communicators and able to be both independent as well as able to work together to ensure a smooth relationship with the other activities on the land.

Hello Sir, Can I apply from Nepal for seasonal agriculture work visa. I’m really interested for farming jobs.
Hi Sachin,
If you’re looking to work on a farm in Canada, here is more information about the Temporary Foreign Workers Program: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada.html
We recommend screening the farms you are interested in as best as you can about the working conditions.
Good luck,
JoHana
