We have more land opportunities than what is listed here! Get in touch with a Land Matcher at land@youngagrarians.org to access our full land inventory and B.C. Land Matching Program support in your region.
ABOUT THE LAND
This land opportunity is located in the community of Grand Forks, less than 5 minutes west of the downtown area. This land boasts half of an acre of flat, largely shaded land that has never been farmed.
With some rock removal and soil development, the unfenced land has water access and could be suitable for small-plot vegetable production. Other potential uses include bee-keeping or a greenhouse, though the land owners are open to other ideas.
The property has six fruit trees (apricots, cherries, pears and apples). The land is a few blocks from Highway 3, tucked against a rocky hillside in a residential neighbourhood.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The land owners reside on the property right above the land opportunity. The property is accessed through the same driveway as the residence. The land owners do not currently use any part of the available land, apart from harvesting the fruit trees.
As no housing is available, this opportunity would be ideal for someone already residing close-by that needs land to start or expand their business. The land is available for a year-by-year lease. Possible long-term arrangement if the fit is right.
