We have more land opportunities than what is listed here! Get in touch with a Land Matcher at land@youngagrarians.org to access our full land inventory and B.C. Land Matching Program support in your region.

ABOUT Terra Nostra Farm

Terra Nostra Farm sits on 14 acres of land next to Myrtle Creek, five minutes South of Powell River. We cultivate 3 productive acres and have a large greenhouse with a diverse mix of certified organic vegetables. Our produce is sold on the farm and locally through farmer’s markets, restaurants, supermarkets, and 75-person CSA.

We have studied with JM Fortier and Curtis Stone, and follow many of the techniques of Ben Hartman, Eliot Coleman, and Andrew Mefferd. Although we use a 33 hp tractor to rototill and flip beds, most of our cultivation is done by hand and follows the Market Gardener Method.

There is a good well on the property and we just added a pond. The soil is sandy clay loam, with high organic matter. We are well equipped with a large wash-pack barn, 33 hp Kubota, large walk-in cooler, and many hand tools, dipplers, and Jang seeders.

Learn more about Terra Nostra Farm here or find them on Facebook.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We would love to work with a hard-working farmer who is dedicated to local, organic, or regenerative agriculture. We are looking for an experienced farmer to work as a manager, or lease the farm and take over running it! We are open to creative solutions and are happy to work with the farmer as a mentor or partner. Bring your ideas to us!
