JOB POSTING – Beef Cow/Calf Herdsperson, Farm Labourer
CLASSIFICATION – Permanent
TERM – 30 hours week, ability to work flexible hours, weekends and longer days
Salary – $20/hr
Position Summary
The Beef Cow/Calf Herdsman (the “employee”), under the guidance of the Agricultural Business Coordinator, will be responsible for overseeing the cow/calf beef operation and to assist with various aspects of the mixed farm production. The employee must possess the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.

Specific Skills Cattle
- Feed and tend livestock
- Monitor condition of livestock, providing necessary care and treatment
- Processing cattle (tag and vaccinate)
- Record keeping for breeding and CCIA
- Build and maintain fences
- Calving
- General cattle operation duties
- Operate and maintain farm equipment
- Clean drivers abstract with a Class 1 licence with air endorsement would be an asset.
- Microsoft, Excel and outlook experience
Specific Skills – Field Crops
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery
- Assisting with planting
- Harvesting Vegetables
- Cleaning, washing, sorting and packaging produce
- Assisting with other duties as required

- Outdoors
- Work in weather that can be very warm and cold, wet and dry conditions
