Here at Morningstar Woollen on Bowen Island we take caring for the earth to heart. Everything we do here stems from wanting to not only sustain but regenerate our environment. From quality food, clothing, and flowers each step in considered.
The farm is located on Bowen Island about 2km from the ferry / town. The location has access to trails and city. It is rural but very close to urban centres.
The farm and business are growing! We need help! The right person would share this passion for caring for Mother Earth and all her residents great and small, mineral to human.
DESIRED QUALITIES
Comfortable with animals, and a family environment. Able and comfortable working alone. This is a small operation.
JOB TASKS
- Feeding and caring for animals a minimum of three days/week.
- Lifting dahlias, sorting, cleaning, tubbers and wool.
JOB DETAILS
Term: ASAP. Temporary – until Spring. 3-6 months.
Hours per week: 11 hrs per week on average
Wage: $21/hr – with suite available for rent. One bedroom, fully contained with kitchen, bath and laundry.
