Young Agrarians is a collaborative network strategy with a lens on new entrants into ecological agriculture focused on Canada. We were born because of the excellent work that The Greenhorns and groups like the National Young Farmers Coalition are doing- and the inspiration from farmers everywhere who are stewarding the land for the next generation.

Our role is not to recreate the wheels already turning, but to network up and make visible what is happening on the ground, and build tools and supports where possible to support the next generation of farmers. We believe that collaboration and communication is key to growing the new and young farmers. We are mainly B.C. and Alberta focused, with the hopes in the future to work with more farmers and farm organizations across Canada.

The network of collaborating organizations and farms is growing!  From farmers hosting events, to data collection for the farmer resource UMAP, to land access programming, farm apprenticeships, and business mentorships, Young Agrarians is working with a number of collaborators to grow programming. Contact us to get involved: The list of fantastic farmers we work with is extensive.
