The West Coast Farm & Garden Show will showcases regional farmers, growers & backyard enthusiasts producing food on the West Coast. While farming is not a term you hear every day on the West Coast, we would like to highlight and promote farming of all varieties including aquacultures, specifically around kelp and shellfish, beekeeping, seed saving, urban farming, square foot gardening, composting and more. This event aims to collectively pull together our community, our region, and Vancouver Island to share thoughts and best practices so that we may all come away with ways to make our lives a bit more sustainable.
This is a family friendly event that includes childminding with Nature Kids as well as many children’s activities and opportunities to learn.
The highlight of the event will be the ‘Meet Your Maker’ Grazing Fundraiser where we will partner with local food producers and some of Tofino’s finest chefs to create some delectable morsels for you and your friends. There is also the option, if you are a producer or grower, to donate food for the cost of a ticket for this event. Please contact us for the promo code and to connect with us.
We are organizing free transportation to the event from Tofino, Ucluelet and Port Alberni. Please contact us if you wish to use the shuttle.
