ABOUT Sandown Centre for Regenerative Agriculture
The Sandown Centre for Regenerative Agriculture is an 83 acre site consisting of working farms, wetlands, meadow, and forest. We serve as a hub for best practices in regenerative agriculture by working with farmers, researchers, and community members towards a more climate change resilient future.
We work towards three interrelated goals:
- Support restoration of soil, water, wetlands and forest on Sandown Lands
- Foster and support thriving growers in regenerative techniques
- Inspire community engagement in regenerative agriculture as part of the solution towards food security and climate change resiliency
DESIRED QUALITIES
Relevant experience that is considered an asset but is not limited to:
- Previous work with not-for-profit organizations
- Prior membership on a Board of Directors
- Knowledge of SCRA
- Fundraising development and Human Resources
- Farming or regenerative agriculture experience
- Legal voice
JOB TASKS
- Meet 3-4 times per year for approximately 2hrs/meeting
- Meetings held in North Saanich with option to attend virtually
- Commit to a 2 year term
JOB DETAILS
Term: Start February 2023 for a 2-year term
Hours: Meet 3-4 times per year for approximately 2hrs/meeting
