Posted by Hailey Troock on July 16, 2021

Our second event of the Young Agrarians 2021 Farm Club event series takes place virtually on Monday, July 26th from 7-8:30pm PST.

What is a Farm Club? Farm Club is when farmers come together to connect and nerd out with other farmers. It can be on any topic the group wants to discuss and can take many different shapes and sizes.

VIRTUAL FARM-TO-TABLE TOUR

Young Agrarians, Flyway Farm and Forest and the Spilli Station Cafe present a Virtual Farm Tour and Farm-to-Table Demo @ Flyway Farm and Forest, located in Spillimacheen.

Patti and Bernie have been busy in the Columbia Valley bringing their vision of farm-to-table dining to reality! The hard-working couple who relocated a number of years ago to the area are making waves as they pioneer a new era of dining at the Spilli Station Cafe located in Spillimacheen.

From their farm Flyway Forest and Farm down the road, they produce for their cafe and also source locally grown food from around the area to supplement their gardens. Goats, chickens, hugel mounds, cinnamon buns, caramels. They’ve got their hands full and are excited to share what they’ve been up to in order to make their farm-to-table dream a reality.

The efforts by these new owners of the Spilli Station Cafe have breathed new life into the only restaurant in this tiny town along highway 95 between Invermere and Golden and just a stone’s throw from Alberta and nowadays they’re doing more business in one busy day than their first week combined!

Don’t miss out on this virtual farm tour, demo and opportunity to ask these two farming and dining entrepreneurs all your questions!

If you’re in the Columbia Valley, pay them a visit at the cafe @ 970 Highway 95, Spillimacheen, BC.
