Presenters:
Kevin Kossowan is a documentary filmmaker specialized in telling stories about food. Recent projects include a second year with Cook It Raw, this time in Norway, and Food On The Edge in Ireland. Kevin is in production of season four of an online series called ‘From The Wild’ that explores the intersection of Canadian wilderness and culinary, and is producing a project called ‘Food Workshop’ that offers food skills education online with the intention of enabling people to engage more in their food supply at home.
Ian Griebel operates Redtail Farms whose motto is “three generations looking seven generations forward”. The farm is located on the prairie grasslands of east central Alberta, where Ian and his family raise and finishes grass-fed beef, pastured pork and pastured chickens. The farm’s foundation is built on regeneration, relationships and responsibility. To slightly paraphrase an old adage, “We do not [only] inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children”.
