You’re invited to a farm tour and BBQ potluck in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan! Join us for an afternoon celebrating summer’s bounty at Wakamow Valley Community Food Farm.
The Wakamow Valley Community Food Farm is a one-acre garden and orchard that hosts farm tours and educational workshops to help strengthen local food systems and gardening knowledge.
Come for the tour, stay for new community connections, storytelling, and the BBQ potluck. We’ll also learn about the YA Apprenticeship Program and hear from Danilo, a participant in the program.
WHEN: Saturday, September 14, 2024 | 12-4pm

About Wakamow Valley Community Food Farm
The Wakamow Valley Community Food Farm is urban, open to the public and focuses on food security. The farm is supported by volunteers and engages with various community groups by hosting farm tours and educational workshops to help strengthen local food systems and gardening knowledge. The farm is also a model for small-scale agriculture. Systems are based on a âhuman-scaleâ and the farm uses planting methods that are best suited to the location, end purpose and needs of our partner organizations.
