March 3, 2013 – the day after Seedy Saturday!
Join us at Ripple Farm for the first ever Comox Valley Young Agrarians potluck and skills share! Thank you Farmer Moss for organizing:)
Arrive around 3:00PM for a hands-on soil-blocking demo in the greenhouse. Soil blocks are an awesome alternative to using plastic pots and plug trays for seedlings. We’ll have an array of soil-blocking equipment to show you and everyone will have a chance to test drive the blockers and help get some of the seeding done.
Everyone is welcome.
Soup potluck around 5:00PM. That means you can bring a dish or something to share that would go well with soup. Please consider bringing something that accounts for common food sensitivities (gluten, dairy, nuts, etc.)
Eating, socializing and visioning together will happen till 8:00ish.
