Our programs provide supports that new and young farmers need at every stage of their journey, whether they are curious about farming and wondering how to start, or are an established farm looking to expand.⁠

📢 Calling all aspiring farmers! Applications are now open for the 2025 Apprenticeship Program.⁠

Young Agrarians apprenticeships are paid opportunities on host farms across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. For 4-12 months, apprentices work alongside seasoned farmers offering specialized learning opportunities in ecological, organic and regenerative agriculture.⁠
⁠
Although activities vary from farm to farm, host farms can support apprentices to dig into:⁠
⁠
🌻 Soil health⁠
🌻 Livestock management⁠
🌻 Plant production⁠
🌻 Equipment use⁠
🌻 Community building⁠
⁠

Meet some of the amazing host farm mentors, ask questions about their farms, learn more about the kinds of apprenticeships they offer and what a typical day is like for their apprentices.
