About the farm:
Shady Acre Farm, a newly started, half-acre mixed vegetable farm, is a partnership of two graduates of the UBC Farm Practicum in Sustainable Agriculture. Karly Pinch & Michaela Horner, who each transitioned from very different careers, have joined together to grow a certified organic farm business. They sell at a small farmers market, have a 35 person CSA program, and hope to continue to grow in the coming years.
They’re also one of the mentee farms of the Young Agrarians Business Mentorship Network
