Posted by Dana Penrice on May 04, 2020

Share what kind of support Alberta food business need.

As you are aware, COVID-19 is causing massive disruption across our food system and creating concerns about Food Security.

Northlands, in partnership with other organizations, has developed a survey to do an initial assessment to determine what information consumers are looking for, as well as what kind of support food businesses need.

Please complete this survey and then share it with your networks of food businesses and organizations, as well as any networks that would engage guests, customers or the general public.

Here is a link to the survey directly –

Or a link to the Alberta Flavour website where a description of the survey is found along with other food resources  If you would prefer a personalized link to allow tracking or materials to share the survey in a different way, please let me know. I am happy to share general results, as they become available.

If you have lists of food businesses that are offering delivery or restaurants that are offering delivery or curbside pick up, very early survey results indicate that consumers that are looking for those kinds of resources. We will be looking at the survey results to try and figure out the best way to support the response and recovery from COVID-19 by our food system.
