Are you attending the BC Association of Farmers’ Markets conference taking place in Kimberley from March 8-10th? Looking for information on how to create a solid land arrangement? Look no further!
Amongst the plethora of amazing workshops and events happening over the course of the weekend, on March 9th Young Agrarians Columbia Basin Land Matcher Hailey Troock will lead a session exploring the B.C. Land Matching Program and the nuts and bolts of leasing land.
In this workshop that runs from 1:30 pm – 2:45 pm on Saturday afternoon, we’ll look at what goes into creating a solid land arrangement such as land assessment, communication tools and building strong working relationships, agreements, and regulations surrounding farm classification, housing, and ALR.
You’ll come away with a solid understanding of the resources available, and knowledge to help you build out mutually beneficial land agreements – plus, learn how the B.C. Land Matching Program can offer hands on support to match farmers and farmland owners. Bring your questions!
We look forward to seeing you in Kimberley this March! Happy conferencing!
