Cody Spencer

Cody is a regenerative bison rancher, agroecologist, father and husband that is on a mission to empower the regeneration of millions of lives and acres through prosperous land-based business. He provides full ranch and farm land planning services from context and goal development, baseline soil testing, grazing infrastructure design and education for managing soil health and building carbon. After a decade of managing ranches and leasing land for bison, he is building a network of managers, landowners and investors to facilitate this transfer of millions of acres into regenerative stewardship.

Shayne Blosky

Shayne Blosky is a first-generation farmer based in Breton, Alberta, who, with the support and  encouragement of his wife Shelby, made the life-changing decision to leave his job in the city and embrace farming nine years ago. Shelby, who had been farming prior to Shayne’s arrival, played a pivotal role in helping him transition from urban life to the rural lifestyle. Together, they began with a more commercial-style farm, running an average of 500 Grass Cattle. Over time, their approach evolved into a cow-calf operation with a growing interest in regenerative agriculture practices.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bloskys made a bold shift towards a multi-species regenerative agriculture operation, expanding their offerings to include beef, eggs, and chicken, with a focus on direct-to-consumer sales and delivery. However, they no longer pursue direct market sales, as they have shifted their focus towards other aspects of their farming operation.

In addition to managing the farm, Shayne has become actively involved in local community leadership. He serves on the Brazeau County Service Board, which oversees and provides input on local government services and infrastructure to ensure the needs of the community are met. Shayne is also a dedicated member of the Brazeau County Fire Services as a firefighter, further strengthening his connection to both the agricultural and local communities.

Today, the Bloskys’ farm continues to blend traditional farming practices with innovative, eco-conscious approaches that prioritize the health of the land, animals, and the community.
