Mar 1: Connecting Land and Water: Stories from the Eastern Slope

Posted by Dana Penrice on February 17, 2021

Join Cows & Fish on Monday, March 1st at 7 pm for a screening of Connecting Land and Water: Stories from the Eastern Slopes, followed by an open discussion period with a panel of guests featured in the film.

This film features inspiring stories of the people Cows and Fish has worked with; the landowners, user groups, and partner organizations, that have undertaken riparian stewardship projects in Alberta’s Eastern Slopes. The intent of this video series is to showcase local champions involved in stewardship, highlighting the reasons why they implemented management changes, how Cows and Fish and other partners supported and continue to support them in their pursuit of sustainable landscape management, and inspire others toward action.

This short documentary features three riparian stewardship projects from Beaverlodge, Silvester Creek, and Timber Ridge Ranch. Connecting Land and Water encourages the audience to connect their identity– who they think they are– with their actions on the land, and to connect the choices they make on the land to the impacts on our water. Together our actions make a difference.

There will be two ways to watch the live screening and discussion, Zoom or on our Facebook page.  Please forward this invitation to your networks.
