My name is Laurel Vohar and I am a farmer from the amazing farming community near Prince George B.C. I grew up on my family’s third farm raising beef cattle as well as growing our own hay and grain crops. For the past 8 years I have been growing my herd of Angus cattle and am ready to take the next big step and grow my herd and farm business on my own piece of land.

Along with years of farming experience, I recently completed my ranching diploma and I have a business administration certificate and farrier training. Along with my herd of Angus cattle, I have horses that I train to help with the ranch work. Aside from the farm, I do farrier work that I went to school for in Oklahoma.

I’m looking for enough land to get my farm started. I am looking to grow my cow/calf operation and would need enough room for pasture and room for calving, at least 50 acres. A place that is fenced would be great so I can put my cows in the pasture right away, but I don’t mind fencing some fields if needed. I’m interested in staying in the farm friendly community near my hometown of Prince George, but would be willing to move out further for the right piece of land. On-farm housing would be ideal. I am also happy with shared living quarters and happy to help out on an existing operation.

Desired farm infrastructure would include a barn to store hay and feed. If there is equipment for making hay such as a conditioner, rake, baler and a tractor for feeding hay, I can do the work. I have my own tractor so am not reliant on equipment being necessary to get started.
