ABOUT THE LAND

Approx.1.5 or 2 acres of prime Zone 7 growing space in Kaledon, BC is available for lease beginning next Spring. The area has been successfully cultivated as a market garden, specializing in cut baby greens for the last 8 years and has been laid out with 50 ft irrigated beds. The land is on a east facing slope overlooking the lake. There are also walnut and apricot trees on the property. The owner is open to a change in production type and is open to conversations with folks interested in using the land as a vineyard, as many of the neighbouring properties are planted out in wine grapes.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The ideal candidate is an experienced farmer looking for a longer term opportunity who is able to commit and invest in the development of the land. Great relational skills and communication are key. The lease rate for the land is $3000/year plus some work trade.
