Located just five minutes from downtown Terrace, this 160-acre property has a cleared five-acre space available for a variety of production types!
This five-acre field was originally cleared in the 1920s, and was most likely used for hay or livestock in the past. The land consists of mostly grass and low bushes, and slopes slightly from east to west. The underlying material appears to be rich in clay, but a soil analysis has not yet been done for the field.
A bit of work will be required to prepare the space for cultivation, though it has been mowed (and tree growth removed) in 2025. Water is available from a well, as well as a stream that runs through the property.

This land opportunity is open to a variety of production types: vegetables, livestock, hay, fruit, flowers, bees, and much more! There is a sloped drier hillside area in one part of the field that could be particularly well-suited for a small vineyard. The landholder is flexible and open to ideas for the five-acre space, and is excited to see it used to contribute to local food production.
Established infrastructure on the property includes the landholder’s residence, a shop, and some outbuildings (most of which are fully utilized for storage already). There is a small tractor available for light work (e.g., mowing), and the incoming farmer could establish a greenhouse and/or any structures needed for storing other equipment. The farmer also would need to install any fencing necessary for their operation.
The available field is located closest to the road, bisected by the driveway, so it is easily accessible. A tiny house or RV would be welcome on the property, and there is also space and zoning allowance for another residence, if needed.
The ideal candidate for this opportunity would be an experienced farmer with a strong vision and the skills and knowledge required to turn this uncultivated space into a thriving farm operation.
