LAND OPPORTUNITY: 2.5-Acre Certified Organic Blueberry Farm – Langley, BC

Posted by Ve-Jane Duong on April 28, 2025

We always have new land opportunities coming into our inventory, some of which aren’t on our blog yet! Get in touch with a Land Matcher at bclmp@youngagrarians.org to learn about the latest opportunities and to access free B.C. Land Matching Program services in your region.

ABOUT THE LAND

This 2.5-acre certified organic blueberry farm in South Langley is ready to be taken over by an incoming farmer! The farm is conveniently accessible from both 16th Ave and 14th Ave.

The land boasts peat-rich soil, which is ideal for blueberries. The bushes were planted in 2009 and are now in their peak years of production – all set for a farmer to take over production. Drip irrigation has been installed throughout the area, and there is a barn with power available for use.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The landholders are seeking a farmer to take over the operation of this certified organic blueberry farm. They may also be interested in selling the farm to the incoming farmer.

The farm has been set up to run on a manual scale, so the incoming farmer will need to manage pruning, weeding, picking and packing crews, as well as delivery.

The landholders would like to hand over this turn-key operation, including the wholesale and retail business contacts and their loyal customer base to the incoming farmer. The landholders have also established strong community engagement, and the incoming farmer would be welcome to continue those relationships.

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will be passionate about growing blueberries organically and committed to maintaining the farm’s organic certification. Ideally, the incoming farmer would also be open to the idea of buying the farm in the future.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced farmer to step into an established farm with a pre-existing customer base!
